Clear Braces: A New Smile In The New Year

Invisalign Gold Plus Provider Allentown & Bethlehem PAWhat are you looking forward to in the New Year? A long-awaited vacation? A well-deserved promotion? More time with friends and family? What about giving yourself a new smile? If you have avoided a smile makeover because traditional braces seem cumbersome, clear braces may be the perfect solution.

What are Clear Braces?

Dr. Gangji offers Invisalign® clear braces for straightening teeth and giving patients of all ages smiles that they love to share. Traditional braces rely on wires, brackets and various other devices to align the teeth and improve a person’s bite. The Invisalign® system uses clear aligners that are practically invisible.

How Do I Use Invisalign®?

Clear braces are very easy to use. You will have a series of 18 to 30 aligners, and you wear each aligner for approximately two weeks. You wear the aligners for at least 20 hours each day, and you can remove them to eat and brush your teeth. Dr. Gangji evaluates your progress every six weeks to make any necessary adjustments.

Are Clear Braces Right for Everyone?

Clear braces can treat many of the same issues as traditional braces, such as mild to moderate:

  • Crowding of the teeth
  • Gaps
  • Bite problems

We recommend that parents wait until their children are in their teens before considering Invisalign®. This allows time for the teeth to fully develop.

How Long Will It Take to Improve My Smile With Clear Braces?

Treatment times do vary by patient, but you may be able to have straighter teeth three times faster with clear braces. Traditional braces can take up to three years to realign the teeth. With Invisalign®, you could have a new smile in as little as nine to 15 months.
